John Axelrod

Swiss-American conductor John Axelrod will conduct the Asian Youth Orchestra, Asia’s premier pre-professional orchestra, during a rehearsal period taking place from 12 July ~ 1 August at The Tianjin Juilliard School in the Yujiapu Financial District of Binhai in Tianjin, China, and the subsequent Asian tour.

John Axelrod, pianists Anna Tsybuleva, and Stephan Xie, will perform Tchaikovsky’s Capriccio Italien, Prokofiev’s Third Piano Concerto and Shostakovich’s Fifth Symphony.

A tour from 2 to 23 August will comprise performances in Tianjin, Beijing, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Hanoi, Taipei, Chiayi City, Chiba City, Atsugi City and Tokyo.
