Riccardo Frizza

Riccardo Frizza’s collaboration as Chief Conductor of the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra & Art Groups has been extended for the next three seasons with the title of Honorary Conductor.

Frizza, a 53-year-old Italian, who is also Artists and Music Director of the Donizetti Festival in Bergamo, began his tenure with the Hungarian Radio Symphonic Orchestra and the Choir of the Hungarian National Radio in 2022.

From May 2024, conductor Domonkos Héja serves as the General Music Director of the Hungarian Radio Art Ensembles. Currently the President-Conductor is Tamás Vásáry, and the Permanent Conductor is János Kovács.
