Die Capella de la Torre, ein deutsches Ensemble für Alte Musik, veröffentlicht ein Jubiläumsalbum ’20 Jahre Capella de la Torre’ mit einem bezaubernden Florilegium von Musik der Renaissance und des Frühbarock.
Für die künstlerische Leiterin, die aus München stammende Oboistin Katharina Bäuml, ist die Veröffentlichung ein besonderes Signal: « Dieses Album ist für uns eine klingende Reise durch 20 Jahre voller gemeinsamer Erlebnisse, musikalischer Abenteuer und Begegnungen. Wir möchten damit zeigen, wie lebendig und unmittelbar Alte Musik heute klingen kann. »
Wenn die Capella de la Torre das Programm mit Buxtehudes Alleluja eröffnet, weiß der Hörer, wo es lang geht. Die Darbietungen sind oft sehr temperamentvoll, vital, aber nie übertrieben. Es gibt auch schöne kontemplative Momente.
So gibt es in dem hochkarätigen Gesang und Musizieren nichts auszusetzen. Die Capella de la Torre ist ein hervorragendes Ensemble, und Katharina Bäuml hat Musiker vereint, die wissen, was sie in diesem Repertoire zu tun haben.
Capella de la Torre, a German early music ensemble, is releasing an anniversary album entitled ’20 Years of Capella de la Torre’ featuring an enchanting anthology of Renaissance and early Baroque music.
For the artistic director, Munich-born oboist Katharina Bäuml, the release is a special signal: « For us, this album is a musical journey through 20 years of shared experiences, musical adventures, and encounters. We want to show how lively and immediate early music can sound today. »
When Capella de la Torre opens the program with Buxtehude’s Alleluja, the listener knows what to expect. The performances are often very spirited and lively, but never exaggerated. There are also beautiful contemplative moments.
There is nothing to fault in the high-quality singing and music-making. Capella de la Torre is an outstanding ensemble, and Katharina Bäuml has brought together musicians who know what they are doing in this repertoire.
