Das Album Ritual der Capella de Ministrers lässt die gemeinsame Erinnerung der Völker des Mittelmeerraums durch sephardische, arabische und hebräische Lieder wieder aufleben. Die Capella teilt mit: « Als Erbe des sephardischen Exils von 1492 verbindet diese Musik Städte von Istanbul bis Jerusalem und erinnert an die Stärke einer Kultur, die auf Koexistenz gegen Unterdrückung und Vergessenheit aufgebaut ist. Sie erklingt als Aufschrei gegen Ausgrenzung und als Akt des Widerstands für Frieden und gegen Völkermord. »
Es ist ein Programm, das zwischen alter Musik und Weltmusik hin- und herpendelt, zwischen den Einflüssen jüdischer, arabischer und spanischer Musik. Ein solches Repertoire wurde bereits oft aufgenommen, u.a von Jordi Savall, von La Roza Enflorese oder der Capilla Antigua de Chinchilla.
Musikalisch lässt diese neue Produktion nichts zu wünschen übrig lässt und sie nimmt mit ganz schönen Stimmungsbildern für sich ein. Mit ihrer feinen Stimme zeichnet Françoise Atlan Bilder des Leides, des stillen Schmerzes, Bilder auch des stillen Glücks, Bilder aus einer anderen Welt, die uns berühren.
The album Ritual by Capella de Ministrers revives the shared memory of the peoples of the Mediterranean region through Sephardic, Arabic, and Hebrew songs. Capella states: « As a legacy of the Sephardic exile of 1492, this music connects cities from Istanbul to Jerusalem and recalls the strength of a culture built on coexistence against oppression and oblivion. It resounds as a cry against exclusion and as an act of resistance for peace and against genocide. »
It is a program that oscillates between early music and world music, between the influences of Jewish, Arabic, and Spanish music. Such a repertoire has often been recorded, including by Jordi Savall, La Roza Enflorese, and the Capilla Antigua de Chinchilla.
Musically, this new production leaves nothing to be desired and captivates with its beautiful moods. With her delicate voice, Françoise Atlan paints pictures of suffering, of silent pain, but also of quiet happiness, images from another world that touch us deeply.
