Harvard College the undergraduate community within Harvard University has suspended its orchestra for the rest of the fall semester. This ensemble is known as Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra (HRO). The suspension the result of an investigation into alleged bullying at a so called freshman initiation procedure, according to US media.

According to music director and conductor, Federico Cortese, the orchestra will still be allowed to rehearse and hold concerts during the suspension period, but it will not be able to use its name for programming while the HRO is suspended.
