Juraj Valcuha

The Houston Symphony announced that it has extended Music Director Juraj Valcuha’s contract through the end of the 2027–28 season. He is in this position since 2022.

A 49-year-old native of Bratislava, Slovakia, Valcuha was Music Director of the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples and Chief Conductor of the RAI National Symphony Orchestra in Turin from 2009 to 2016.
