After nine successful seasons, the Orchestre national de Metz Grand Est has announced the departure of its Music Director, David Reiland, who will be stepping down in 2027, at the end of three remarkable and much-appreciated mandates.
Since his appointment, the Belgian conductor has left his mark on the Metz Orchestra, reinforcing its artistic excellence and deploying an ambitious, open and daring vision.
From 2012 to 2018, Reiland was artistic and musical director of the Orchester de Chambre du Luxembourg.
The 46-year-old Belgian was Music Director of the Korean National Symphony Orchestra (2021-2025).
As first guest of the Sinfonietta Lausanne and Schumann guest of the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra, he also maintains a close working relationship with these orchestras.
