19-year-old Chinese pianist Yfan Wu won first prize of the 65th Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition ahead of Sandro Nebieridze, Christos Fountos, Zhoughua Wei, Elia Cecino and Zeyu Shen. Yifan Wu also wins the Special Audience Prize.

Wu, a recipient of the Young Steinway Artist title, has established himself in prominent international piano competitions, winning first prize at the Singapore International Piano Competition and fifth prize at the Shenzhen International Piano Concerto Competition. In 2024, he participated in the Piano Summer organized by pianist Vladimir Feltsman, where he won first prize in the Jacob Flier International Piano Competition.
