Die Musik von John Dowland begleitet den Lautenisten Thomas Dunford von Kindesbeinen an. Zwischen dem Komponisten und dem Interpreten ist eine ureigene Vertrautheit entstanden – zwei Musiker, die 4 Jahrhunderte trennen, und sich dennoch so nahe sind.
In diesen intimen Kreis, zu dem auch Henry Purcell zählt, hat Thomas Dunford die Sopranistin Lea Desandre und das Jupiter-Ensemble einbezogen. So entstand ein gemeinsames Doppel-Album von inniger Schönheit, das von Leidenschaft(en) erzählt.

Lutenist Thomas Dunford has been immersed in the music of John Dowland since childhood. A unique intimacy has developed between the 17th-century composer and the 21st-century performer – two musicians separated by four centuries yet so closely connected.
Dunford has brought soprano Lea Desandre and the Jupiter Ensemble into this intimate circle, which also includes Henry Purcell. The result is a joint double album of heartfelt beauty that tells of passion.
