Auf ihrem neuen Album bei Harmonia Mundi spielen Robin Pharo und sein Ensemble Près de votre oreille Musik von William Lawes (1602-1645), wobei sie nicht allein Consort-Stücke spielen wie das andere getan haben, sondern diese mit Psalmen verbinden.

Robin Pharo pflegt den poetischen Ausdruck und die Schönheit der Musik. Die Andacht ist vollkommen. Dabei gibt es durchaus Variation in der rhythmischen Kraft und in den Farben, was die Musik belebt. Und so hat das Ohr ein echtes Vergnügen daran, Près de votre oreille in diesem Programm zu folgen und mit ihm durch die Ruhe und Reinheit einer Musik zu wandern, die diskret mit Harfe, und Stimmen parfümiert ist.

In their new album, released by Harmonia Mundi, Robin Pharo and his ensemble, Près de votre oreille, perform the music of William Lawes (1602-1645). Unlike other ensembles, they combine consort pieces with psalms.

Robin Pharo brings out the poetic expression and beauty of the music. His devotion is complete. At the same time, there is plenty of variation in rhythmic power and color, which brings the music to life. It is a real pleasure to follow Près de votre oreille in this program and wander with them through the tranquility and purity of music discreetly perfumed with harp and voices.
