Théâtre du Châtelet, Paris
The Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris announces a major audience success. Last Sunday, after a long standing ovation, the curtain fell on the 44th and final performance of the musical 42nd Street. More than 66,000 spectators attended the performances between December 7, 2022 and January 15, 2023.
70% of them attended a show at the Châtelet for the first time, the press release says, « which is an essential part of the Theater’s desire to open its doors to new audiences. » The Châtelet also welcomed more than 2,000 young spectators benefiting from the 10-euro youth rate during this period.
