10 Komponisten, 10 Kompositionen, 10 Jahre Duo Auskelyte – Pezzi. Mit einem Run durch die Musikgeschichte des 19. Und 20. Jahrhundert besiegeln die Geigerin Justina Auskelyte und der italienische Pianist Cesare Pezzi ihre zehnjährige Freundschaft und Zusammenarbeit.

Von dem abwechslungsreichen Programm bleiben dem Hörer vor allem der fulminante Schlusssatz der Schumann-Sonate, das nicht weniger brillante Brahms-Scherzo, eine gut proportionierte, leidenschaftliche Tzigane und das drängend-virtuose Improvviso von Nino Rota in Erinnerung. Aber auch die ruhigeren Stücke von Tchaikovsky, Sibelius und Tor Aulin werden sehr gut, sehr einfühlsam gespielt, mit einem natürlichen und schmalzfreien Gestus.

Und so kann man dieses Zehner-Programm mit einem liebenswerten Programm als schöne CD bewerten.

10 composers, 10 compositions, 10 years Duo Auskelyte – Pezzi. The violinist Justina Auskelyte and the Italian pianist Cesare Pezzi seal their ten-year friendship and collaboration with a run through the musical history of the 19th and 20th centuries.
From the varied programme, the listener will remember above all the brilliant final movement of the Schumann Sonata, the no less brilliant Brahms Scherzo, a well-proportioned, passionate Tzigane and the urgently virtuosic Improvviso by Nino Rota. But also the quieter pieces by Tchaikovsky, Sibelius and Tor Aulin are played very well, very sensitively, with a natural, unpathetic gesture.
