The Delaware Symphony Orchestra in Wilmington/Delaware (USA) and its musicians’ union have signed a new contract, allowing the orchestra to present concerts for the next three years. « Ultimately, we were able to reach an agreement that positions the DSO to build on its reputation as one of America’s leading regional orchestras for generations to come, » DSO board chairwoman Tatiana Copeland said in a statement. The agreement foresees pay cuts for the musicians linked to the reduced number of concerts. Music director David Amado applauded the musicians for working collaboratively to confront hard economic realities.
