Even though the Comité Garnier, fighting against the removal of separating elements at Opéra Garnier in Paris, lost its case in court, the organization continues the battle, suing the responsible administration and the Paris Opera as well on two different levels. In der Diskussion um einen neuen Konzertsaal in München haben bislang alle möglichen und unmöglichen Leute mitgeredet. Nun mischt auch noch die Gewerkschaft Ver.di mit, der die Pläne für einen Konzertsaal auf dem Postgelände nicht gefallen. Die Gewerkschaft befürchtet « Negativeffekte für Beschäftigte und Kunden » der Post, da rund 1000 Beschäftigte an einen anderen Standort, möglicherweise am Rande von München umziehen müssten. Die Gewerkschaft appelliert darum an die Politik, das ehemalige Pfanni-Gelände im Münchner Osten vorzuziehen.

A gift of $250,000 has been made to the Minnesota Orchestra in memory of Lee Henderson. This gift establishes a special artist-led fund, The Bellwether Fund, that will assist in the underwriting of educational and community programming adopted by the Orchestra through the leadership of the Musicians.
