The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra announced its 2024/25 season line-up, presenting internationally renowned conductors and soloists. Outgoing Music Director Jaap van Zweden’s position will nit be filled immediately, but the orchestra says that Italian conductor Daniele Gatti, 62, has been appointed as the HK Phil’s Artistic Partner.

The Illinois Symphony Orchestra (ISO) announced the appointment of Japanese American conductor Taichi Fukumura as Music Director effective July 1, 2024. Taichi Fukumura is the Second Prize Winner of The Mahler Competition 2023 and a four-time recipient of the Solti Foundation U.S. Career Assistance Award 2021-2024.
