Gianandrea Noseda’s Beethoven Zyklus mit dem National Symphony Orchestra aus Washington endet mit einer nervösen und aggressiven Interpretation der Neunten Symphonie. Im Scherzo mag das ja auch noch gut gehen, und der langsame Satz bleibt noch einigermaßen akzeptabel, aber der erste Satz und das Finale sind für mein Empfinden zu unruhig und fahrig. Auch die Tonaufnahme will mir nicht gefallen mit ihrem breiträumigen und nicht genügend konturierten Klangbild.
Gianandrea Noseda’s Beethoven cycle with the National Symphony Orchestra of Washington ends with a nervous and aggressive interpretation of the Ninth Symphony. The scherzo may still be fine, and the slow movement remains somewhat acceptable, but the first movement and the finale are too restless and agitated for my liking. I also don’t like the recording, with its broad and insufficiently contoured sound.
