Maltese conductor Aurelio Belli passed away at the age of 49. Belli was a brass player and developed his skills across various instruments. He was actively involved in a number of musical ensembles. He was also a conductor and cultural manager 2020, Belli was diagnosed with lung cancer. He spoke about his treatment publicly in the years that followed, saying he wanted to raise awareness and offer some comfort to others in the same position.
