With music from five centuries, this year’s Salzburg Whitsun Festival paid homage to the city of Venice and saw a high percentage of 99 percent of seats filled. Approximately 11.720 guests attended the festival. Austria, Germany, Switzerland, the USA, Great Britain, France, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands and Hungary were the ten most highly represented countries, among a total of 49 nations.

The Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) announced the appointment of Australian-born conductor Ingrid Martin as its new Assistant Conductor and Phillip and Lauren Fisher Community Ambassador, to commence with the 2025–2026 season.
