Olivier Messiaen
The Messiaen Foundation has started a project to open Olivier Messiaen’s residence on the lake of Laffrey (Isère) as residence for young musicians.
The villa has been renovated and was inaugurated last week with a series of concerts. Maison Messiaen will also host an exhibition about the French composer and generally make efforts in propagating the music of Messiaen.
The first residence, this summer, is taken by a close collaborator of Messiaen, pianist Roger Muraro who has invited young pianists for a series of master-classes.
