The chamber orchestra Wiener Concert-Verein has announced the appointment of Canadian violinist Timothy Chooi, 32, as Artistic Partner. They say: « Since his first collaboration with the orchestra in 2022, Timothy has brought inspiring musical leadership, artistic curiosity, and a deep connection to the Viennese sound tradition. We are excited to deepen this collaboration through an ongoing artistic partnership. »

Timothy Chooi’s accolades include First Prize at the Joseph Joachim International Violin Competition and the Yves Paternot Prize at the Verbier Festival. In 2019 he was Second Prize Winner of the Queen Elisabeth Competition.
