The Mahler Competition 2026 announced a selection of 24 candidates (ou of 270) who will take part in the competition in Bamberg from 23 June to 3 July 2026. have been confirmed.

The 24 selected candidates represent 12 different nationalities. They come from the United States (5), China (3), France (3), Poland (3), the United Kingdom (2), Italy (2), as well as Canada, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, South Africa, and Switzerland (1 each). The selected group includes 19 men and 5 women. The age range of the candidates spans from 23 to 35 years.
