The Sao Paulo Symphony Orchestra has renewed Thierry Fischer’s contract as Music Director and Principal Conductor to the end of 2031.

Since the beginning of his tenure in 2020, 68-year-old Swiss conductor Thierry Fischer has played a central role in consolidating the Sao Paulo Symphony Orchestra’s (OSESP) artistic identity.

Fischer is also Music Director of the Orquesta Sinfónica Castilla y León.
