72-year-old Italian conductor Riccardo Chailly has been released from the Monzino Cardiology Center in Milan, where he was taken after feeling ill while conducting Shostakovich’s Lady Macbeth at La Scala Wednesday night. The conductor was rushed to hospital while the performance was called off half-way through.
