News are available now about the case of Sergey Smbatyan, the Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra of Armenia who was arrested for fraud in his country. We learn from his lawyer that by the decision of the Prosecutor of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Armenia dated October 27, 2023, Maestro Sergey Smbatyan was acquitted, and the criminal prosecution against him was ceased on the basis that he did not commit the penalties for which he was charged.

22-year-old violinist Simon Zhu is the winner of the 2023 Premio Paganini Competition at Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa. The Premio Paganini is worth €30,000. Zhu will also be invited to perform at an impressive list of concerts.
