Riccardo Frizza

With three weekends of performances and more than thirty diverse initiatives, the 2025 edition of the Gaetano Donizetti festival was a resounding success. Organized in Bergamo by the Fondazione Teatro Donizetti this year’s festival saw Riccardo Frizza for the first time in the dual role of artistic and musical director.

The 2025 edition confirmed the popularity of the event, with an overall attendance at performances of more than 12200 people. Those numbers reflect in the revenue generated by the festival, which was about 20% higher than in 2023,
