Parisian ensemble Le Cercle de l’Harmonie was the victim of an instrument theft today at around 9 a.m., at the Salle Colonne, located at 94 boulevard Auguste Blanqui, 75013 Paris. Several instruments belonging to the ensemble’s musicians were stolen. A complaint has been filed with the police and an investigation is underway.
Le Cercle de l’Harmonie is appealing for witnesses: anyone with information that could help identify the instruments, their location, or the perpetrators is asked to come forward.
Description of the stolen instruments:
Amati Magenot cello (1920), in its burgundy hard canvas case plus 1 classical cello bow, Meauchand model (1775), 1 baroque cello bow, Tartini model
1 B-flat clarinet in boxwood with 5 keys at 430Hz, Lotz copy by Agnès Guéroult (2020), in a blue patterned fabric case (placed in a beige backpack)
Reports can be made to the police services of the 13th arrondissement of Paris.
