London’s largest cultural center, the Barbican, will undergo a complete refurbishment. The renovation, costing several million pounds, is expected to take several years. Yet, it will only close for twelve months in June 2028, according to The Guardian.

The cultural center includes a theater, a concert hall, art galleries, cinemas, and a greenhouse. The building is 43 years old. The London Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Shakespeare Company, which perform at the Barbican, will have to move to other venues during the renovation.
