Festspielhaus Baden-Baden
Über 18.000 Besucher besuchten die Osterfestspiele Baden-Baden, bei dem das Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra aus Amsterdam als Residenzorchester auftrat. 28 musikalische Programme prägten das Festival. 2027 soll Beethoven gefeiert werden, u.a. mit einer steht Neuinszenierung von Beethovens einziger Oper Fidelio.
Das grosse Festspielhaus in Salzburg
Die Rückkehr der Berliner Philharmoniker als Residenzorchester war für die Osterfestspiele Salzburg auslastungsmäßig erfolgreich. Bei dem Festival wurden bei der drei Mal aufgeführten Oper Das Rheingold über 99 Prozent der Karten verkauft. Die Philharmonischen Konzerte verbuchten eine Auslastung von knapp 97 Prozent, teilten die Osterfestspiele in einer Aussendung mit.

Der 1938 in Porto geborene Dirigent Álvaro Cassuto ist gestern im Alter von 87 Jahren verstorben. Er studierte Orchesterleitung bei Pedro de Freitas Branco in Lissabon, dem Bruder von Luís de Freitas Branco, in Hilversum sowie bei Herbert von Karajan in Berlin. The Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has announced the appointment of 43-year-old cellist and conductor Han-na Chang as the new president of the Seoul Arts Center. Chang is expected to begin her three-year term on April 24. Read More →
The Kansas City Symphony plans a new a concert venue to be opened in 2028. The music hall, located south of the Kansas City Public Library’s Plaza branch, will seat 4,600 for touring concerts and film with live orchestra performances, strengthening the Symphony’s long-term future while expanding the city’s ability to host national touring artists and new live music experiences.
