The Paris based Carolyn Carlson Dance Company has announced that it will shut down.
The news release says: « Since 2014, the Carolyn Carlson Company has produced 18 choreographic creations; given 594 performances in France and around the world to approximately 350,000 spectators; offered more than 1,100 hours of masterclasses, workshops, and cultural activities; transmitted 22 repertoires; and organized approximately 70 events! Not to mention cross-disciplinary projects in audiovisual media, publishing, and graphic arts.
Unfortunately, after 11 years of existence, the company must bow out, as the financial conditions and current context do not allow us to continue.
However, you will be able to see the company on stage one last time with The Tree, on January 30 and 31 at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées, thanks to our partner Quartier Libre productions. »
