The Orchestra of the Spanish Basque Country– Iparraldeko Orkestrak – has named Benjamin Levy as its Music Director, starting in September. Benjamin Levy, born in Paris in 1974, is the founder and music director of the Pelléas Chamber Orchestra.

Assistant to Marc Minkowski (at the Paris Opera, the Salzburg Festival, and the Amsterdam Opera), he was associate conductor of the Netherlands Radio Orchestras from 2009 to 2011. He has been music director of the national orchestra in Cannes for the past ten years.
