Gautier Capuçon widmet mit dem Album Gaïa ein Musikprogramm der Erde. Der Titel erinnert an die Urmutter Erde in der Mythologie. Vereint sind dabei 17 Stücke von 16 Komponisten beider Geschlechter, die Capuçon solistisch und in Begleitung anderer Musiker spielt.

Neben bekannten Namen wie Ludovico Einaudi, Max Richter, Bryce Dessner, Gabriela Montero oder Joe Hisaishi finden sich auf dem Album auch Werke von Nachwuchstalenten.

Es sind teils kraft- und effektvolle, teils kontemplative, teils charmante Stücke, die ein abwechslungsreiches Programm ergeben, das auf hohem Niveau gespielt wird.

Gautier Capuçon dedicates a musical program to the earth with the album Gaïa. The title is reminiscent of the primordial mother earth in mythology. It brings together 17 pieces by 16 composers of both genders, which Capuçon plays as a soloist and accompanied by other musicians.
