Wer Weihnachtsmusik ohne Gesang mag, wird auf diesem Digitalalbum auf seine Kosten kommen, zumindest die 21 Minuten lang, die es dauert. Warum BR Klassik nicht das ganze Programm des Konzerts veröffentlicht, das im Dezember 2024 im Münchner Prinzregententheater stattfand, ist nicht direkt ersichtlich, könnte aber mit der Sängerin Joe Faulkner zusammenhängen, die auf diesem Zusammenschnitt nicht zu hören ist.

Egal: das kurze Programm ist opulent und bereitet Vorfreude auf Weihnachten.

Those who enjoy Christmas music without vocals will find this digital album satisfying, at least for the 21 minutes it lasts. It is not immediately apparent why BR Klassik did not release the entire program of the concert that took place at Munich’s Prinzregententheater in December 2024, but it could be related to the singer Joe Faulkner, who is not featured on this compilation.

Regardless, the short program is opulent and gets you in the mood for Christmas.
