French conductor Marc Minkowski (53) has been named General Manager of the Opera of Bordeaux, France, as successor to Thierry Fouquet who will retire in June 2016. Minkowski ist also music director of Les Musiciens du Louvre and artistic director of the Mozartwoche in Salzburg.
